Relive the story of the world's most famous ship with your students, experience the atmosphere of the early 20th century.
At the exhibition, students will learn about the history of seafaring and great overseas discoveries, the Second Industrial Revolution, technical inventions, artistic trends, and the political situation in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century.
Prepare a great excursion for students to learn the stories of real passengers on the Titanic. Thanks to faithful reconstructions of cabins, staircases, engine rooms and dining rooms, they will experience a real atmosphere of luxury and hard work on the famous ship. They will get to know the beauty of the period interiors, but also the noise of the engine room and the subsequent anxiety of a real tragedy.
Your students will see over 100 original artifacts that were recovered from the ocean floor of the famous shipwreck. Exhibits include pieces of the ship's equipment, furniture, porcelain, and personal items from passengers, such as jewelry, handbags, and clothing. The Titanic World Exhibition is sponsored by RMS Titanic, which has the exclusive right to retrieve artifacts from the Titanic wreck.
We have prepared special worksheets for schools with a visual overview of all the significant events in politics, science and culture at the beginning of the 20th century. There is also a knowledge quiz on the website, in which they will sort out their newly acquired knowledge.
A FREE AUDIO GUIDE is available for school groups in Czech or English. A FREE version for mobile phones is also available in the SMARTGUIDE application. On this audio guide, students will hear the voices and comments of real passengers, as their testimonies about the departure and the actual sinking of the Titanic were preserved. This is not only a classic audio guide, but also a faithful reconstruction of the events.
